1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SkillForgeX (the "Service"), available at
skillforgex.edu.lk, you agree to be bound by
these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms,
please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to everyone who visits the site — whether you're a guest browsing
anonymously, a registered user, or a paid subscriber.
2About SkillForgeX
SkillForgeX is an online learning platform designed for students and self-learners, offering:
School subject resources — past papers, notes, and lesson videos.
Interactive quizzes with scoring and progress tracking.
An AI Assistant for explanations, summaries, and study help.
A code playground for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
Study games and languages.
Learn with 3D Models — interactive 3D learning for Science, Maths, A/L, Tech & Bio.
Display of advertisements through Google AdSense to keep the platform free for everyone.
SkillForgeX is an independent project created and maintained by
Sandaru Malisha in Sri Lanka. It is not affiliated with any school,
government body, or educational institution.
3Accounts & Eligibility
3.1 Who can use SkillForgeX
SkillForgeX is designed for learners of all ages. If you are under 13,
you must use the Service with the permission of a parent or guardian.
3.2 Your account responsibilities
Provide accurate information when registering (name, email, grade).
Keep your password secure. Do not share your account with others.
You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
One person = one account. Do not create multiple accounts to abuse free features.
If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at
sandarumalisha1@gmail.com.
4Free & Pro Plans
4.1 Free Plan
The free plan gives you access to core SkillForgeX features with limits — including a
daily cap on AI assistant messages and limited quizzes per day. Free users may also
see Google AdSense advertisements while using SkillForgeX. These
limits and ad displays may change over time as the platform evolves.
Pro — Rs. 1,600/month (or Rs. 16,000/year, saving 16%)
Paid plans unlock unlimited AI chats, unlimited quizzes, priority responses, and
additional premium features. All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR)
and may change with advance notice. Ad-free browsing may be included with Pro plans
in the future.
You can cancel anytime from your account settings — access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Yearly plans are billed once every 12 months.
Refunds: Paid subscriptions are generally non-refundable. However, if you contact us within 7 days of a charge and haven't used premium features extensively, we'll review your case in good faith.
5Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SkillForgeX to:
Share or resell paid content (quizzes, notes, 3D models, AI-generated answers) to others.
Attempt to hack, scrape, or break the platform.
Abuse the AI assistant — spamming, jailbreaking, or generating harmful content.
Click on Google AdSense advertisements artificially or encourage others to do so (this is strictly against Google's policies and will result in account termination).
Post or share illegal, offensive, or abusive content.
Impersonate another user or SkillForgeX staff.
Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.
Interfere with other users' ability to use the platform.
Violate any applicable laws in Sri Lanka or your country of residence.
Breaking these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent ban of your account — without refund.
6AI Content Disclaimer
The SkillForgeX AI Assistant is powered by third-party AI models. While we try to make
it accurate and helpful, AI can make mistakes — including factual
errors, outdated information, or biased content.
AI answers are for learning and reference, not professional advice.
Always verify important information (exams, medical, legal, financial) with a trusted source.
Do not use AI responses as a substitute for teacher guidance or official textbooks.
We are not responsible for decisions you make based on AI output.
7Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create on SkillForgeX — including your chat
history, quiz answers, project code, and profile details.
By using the Service, you grant SkillForgeX a limited licence to store,
process, and display your content only so we can provide the
Service to you. We do not share your content with third parties for marketing.
You're responsible for making sure you have permission to upload or share any content
(for example, images or text from other sources).
8Intellectual Property
All SkillForgeX branding, design, code, written notes, custom graphics, 3D models,
and quiz content created by us are the property of Sandaru Malisha / SkillForgeX.
You may not:
Copy or republish SkillForgeX content on other websites.
Claim SkillForgeX content as your own.
Use our logo or branding without permission.
Extract, download, or redistribute 3D models for commercial use.
You may: reference content for personal study, share links to specific
pages, and quote short excerpts with proper credit.
9Third-Party Content
SkillForgeX includes embedded content from third parties, including:
YouTube videos — for lesson videos. All videos remain the property of their creators.
Past papers & PDFs — sourced from public educational resources. If you own a document that appears on SkillForgeX and want it removed, contact us.
AI responses — generated by third-party AI providers.
3D Models — created or licensed for SkillForgeX educational use.
Google AdSense ads — displayed on the platform. Ad content is controlled by Google, not SkillForgeX. We are not responsible for the content of any external advertisement.
We do not claim ownership of third-party content, and we're not responsible for its
accuracy or availability.
10Service Availability
SkillForgeX is provided "as is" and "as available".
We try our best to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise:
100% uptime — occasional downtime may happen for updates or maintenance.
Zero bugs — this is a personal project, not an enterprise product.
Permanent availability of any specific feature — we may add, change, or remove features at any time.
Continuous ad display — Google AdSense availability is outside our control.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or
without notice.
11Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
Once deleted, your data will be permanently removed from our database (except where
required by law to retain records).
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
You violate these Terms.
You abuse the AI assistant or platform features.
You attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
You artificially click on ads or encourage others to do so.
Your account is used for illegal activity.
For severe violations, termination may be immediate and without refund.
12Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillForgeX and its developer
(Sandaru Malisha) shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the Service.
Loss of data, profits, or opportunities.
Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content or educational materials.
Actions taken by third-party providers (Firebase, YouTube, Google AdSense, AI services, payment processors).
The content, accuracy, or safety of advertisements displayed by Google AdSense.
Interruptions or downtime of the Service.
You use SkillForgeX at your own risk. If you're unhappy with the
Service, your only remedy is to stop using it.
13Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as SkillForgeX evolves. When we do, we'll
update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes,
notify registered users by email.
Continued use of SkillForgeX after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of
the updated Terms.
